We finally did it, we bought an RV on Thursday 2/14/08. It is a 2005 Puma Palamino with 4 bunk beds in the rear, mid kitchen and bath on curb side. On the street side of the camper is a super slide out Dinette Booth and Couch and upfront is a queen bed for myself and the Mrs.
The boys were excited, but Faith did not know about it until her, Nicole and the baby came back from NJ and taking care of Nicole’s dad after his heart surgery. On Friday the 15th while Kyle was in school Jacob and I and also my friend Joey tore down the fence along the driveway to make room for the new addition that would be coming home the next day.
On Saturday Kyle, Jacon and my friend Richie loaded up in the pickup and went to pick up the camper. The boys were so excited to see their new vacation home. Their were excited to see daddy’s pickup pull that big trailer. I have to admit that camper made my crew cab Chevy look silly in comparison. I got a few quick lessons on how to tow and hook up and oof we went.
As we pulled out of the dealership (Grandview Trailer Sales Bedford) I had to adjust the brake controller and get use to pulling this big rig. The boys kept looking back through the back window to make sure the trailer did not fall off. After a few turns and 0 minutes later we pulled up to the house. It took a liitle manuvering but I finally got it in the driveway with Richies help, taking down the fence the day prior helped as well. We got the trailer parked and leveled and than went and checked it out. The kids loved all of the many hiding places and the fact that they knew fun times were in store.
That Monday Nicole, Faith and the baby made their way back from New Jersey safely and were excited about seeing the new addition and Faith cannot wait to go camping!
I can see and feel all the excitement on th boys faces as they were watching the camper. You know those butterflies and exciting fears like we had when we were younger when dad pulled our trailer (feeling like it would fall off) or when mom had to back the trailer in to a camping spot to park it ( fearin we would hit a tree). These memories will live in our hearts forever. I am so happy that your kids and Nicole are going to be able to experience this those wonderfull times and the memories will live on.
Nicole,
We enjoyed having Faith stay with us. She was such a pleasure. We hope to be able to have her again. I wish we could all live closer so they can all grow up together as Richars did w/ his cousins.
God Bye for now
Love ya,
Katherine
