Our one night of camoing in the yard started this past Sunday. After church I went and opened the awning of the trailer and got the chairs all set up for our campfire. After splitting some wood for the campfire our Pastor and his wife and kids came over to spend the day with us as well as my buddy Richie and his boys. The kids enjoyed having their friends over for the day and Nicole (my wife) and I enjoyed having friends over as well.
The boys and I enjoyed the campfire and looking at it with wonderment in trying to figure out how to maximize flame production. We also threw the shoes (horse shoes)around a bit and enjoying conversation. After dinner everyone came out to enjoy the fire and roast marshmallows. When the marshmallows were gone the kids (all 7) went into the camper’s bunkhouse to watch the end of the NASCAR race and than Americas Funniest Videos they all loved it and their friends were begging their parents to get a camper as well.
All in all the night was a success and cannot wait to really go camping.
Keep on camping and throw a log on for me.
Sounds awesome!! We are the proud owners of a new Coachman Spirit of America series camper. 28ft. We bought ours 12/22/07. We have been camping in the driveway for three months! I feel like with all that experience we are ready for the road as well.
We are previous tenters and moved up to a pop up that we had for one summer and immediatley wanted more. We are going on a shake down run 3/29/08 weekend to Smith Mountain Lake State Park. We have several camping trips reserved this season. I think we got a little excited and booked too many.
I drove out to Running cedar rv resort and hope to camp there some this year as well.
We bought our camper from Forest RV, they are great people to do business with. We live in Lynchburg so the store is convenient. Hope to meet some of you at the campgrounds this year, The Calland family.
